Work Experience

If you’re not quite ready to start an apprenticeship or traineeship, you may want to consider our Work Experience Placement Program.

Through this program, WesCEF provides opportunities for students exploring whether a career in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) is the right path.

There are areas in our business that can support work experience students. Work experience may be available for students aspiring in the following areas:

  • Apprenticeships - Electrical / Mechanical and Boiler Maker
  • Process Operations - Process Technicians
  • Business Services - Information Technology, Health, Safety & Environment
  • Laboratory - Laboratory Technicians
  • Agriculture - Agronomists and other Agriculture Sciences

Requests outside of these streams are considered on a case-by-case basis.

Eligibility

All work experience students must be linked to an education provider that endorses the placement. Some examples of this include:

  • Professional practicum students that are studying through a university or TAFE.
