About the role 

As a Senior Workplace Technology Engineer, you will provide technical leadership and platform ownership across workplace technologies; ensuring secure, reliable and modern services that enable productivity across corporate, operational and remote environments

This is a senior, hands-on role where you will own specific workplace platforms, lead complex Level 3 escalations, and drive continuous improvement in line with the Technology Operations operating model and strategic roadmap.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Own and lead workplace technology platforms, including endpoints, SOE, collaboration technologies, endpoint management, Operational Technology (OT) and other workplace platforms as required
  • Provide technical leadership across platform health, resilience, supportability and service quality
  • Lead complex Level 3 escalations, major incident resolution and cross-platform troubleshooting
  • Drive platform modernisation, lifecycle management and roadmap delivery, including endpoint uplift, standardisation and optimisation
  • Ensure security, governance, risk and compliance requirements are embedded across all workplace platforms
  • Support AI, Copilot and modern ways of working enablement, ensuring platforms are secure and ready for future capabilities
  • Partner with Cyber Security, Infrastructure & Systems, Cloud & Identity, Service Delivery and other teams to deliver integrated and effective services
  • Mentor and coach peers, uplift team capability and contribute to consistent engineering standards
  • Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities to enhance user experience and productivity

 

About You 

  • Tertiary qualifications in an IT related discipline, or demonstrated equivalent experience in workplace technology.
  • Extensive experience in a similar workplace technology, modern endpoint, end user computing or modern workplace engineering role
  • Demonstrated experience owning or leading workplace technology platforms and services in an enterprise environment
  • Experience leading complex technical incidents, escalations, service improvement and operational uplift activities
  • Experience contributing to technical roadmaps, lifecycle management, governance uplift and cross-functional delivery
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Practical experience with:
    • Endpoint solutions including Laptops, Desktops, Tablets, Mobiles and Virtual Desktops
    • Microsoft MECM, Intune & Autopilot
    • Windows 10/11, Apple and Android device ecosystems
    • Microsoft 365 platform including Teams, OneDrive and Teams Rooms
    • Identity and access technologies including Active Directory, Entra ID and privileged access controls
    • Endpoint security, collaboration technologies, print and related workplace technology services
