About the role

Reporting to the Principal Finance Lead, this role will see you operating as a trusted business partner with the WesCEF Minerals leadership team, providing financial and commercial support across operational, strategic and growth activities. You’ll be responsible for delivering accurate, timely and insightful financial and operational information, delivering performance analysis, forecasting and reporting processes, and ensuring robust financial governance and compliance across the division.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Accountant to work closely with the business, supporting business decisions including contributing to financial insights on associated growth projects.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Prepare monthly financial results, forecasts and budgets, including insightful analysis and commentary to support business decision-making.
• Analyse financial performance and key business drivers, explaining variances against budget, forecast and prior periods.
• Develop financial models and scenario analysis to support operational and strategic decision-making.
• Assist in the preparation of long-term planning processes across WesCEF Minerals.
• Support the effective use of SAP, OneStream and other finance systems, ensuring data integrity and reporting efficiency.
• Participate in finance and business improvement initiatives as required.
• Commit to safe work practices and foster a safety culture
• Support additional tasks/projects as required.

About You  

• Tertiary qualifications in Finance, Commerce and/or a Business related discipline.
• Membership of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, CPA Australia, or equivalent qualifications.
• Experience with ERP and finance systems such as SAP or Oracle is desirable.
• Good communication, collaboration and business partnering skills.
• Strong analytical, problemsolving and solutions driven mindset.
• Ability to manage competing priorities to meet deadlines.
• Continuous improvement and innovation mindset underpinned by a willingness to learn and utilise technology.
• Flexible and Adaptable approach to meet business demands.
