About the role
Reporting to the Financial Accounting Manager, this role will see you operating as a trusted business partner to WesCEF Shared Service functions. You’ll be responsible for delivering accurate, timely and insightful financial information, supporting planning and forecasting processes, and ensuring robust financial governance and compliance across the division.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accountant who enjoys working close to the business, influencing decisions and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Completion of WesCEF Shared Services monthly financial accounts, forecasts, budgets and corporate plan and providing insightful commentary to Shared Services General Managers
- Assist with accounting for climate related projects under IFRS, including biological assets and carbon credits generated from forestry and other decarbonisation initiatives
- Preparing monthly balance sheet reconciliations
- Assist with divisional lease accounting, audit requests and SAP ERP transition activities
About You
- Tertiary qualifications in a business related discipline
- Membership of CPA Australia, Institute of Chartered Accountants or equivalent qualifications
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a corporate finance or accounting role
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving and communication skills
- Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
- A continuous improvement mindset with the confidence to challenge and influence
- Experience with ERP and finance systems (Oracle, JDE, TM1, SAP or similar – desirable, not essential)
