About the role 

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and enthusiastic Environmental Advisor to join our team. Reporting to the Senior Environmental Advisor, you will advise and support our businesses to achieve corporate environmental goals and to ensure statutory requirements are met, risks are minimised and innovative management strategies developed.

Key responsibilities will include:  

  • Complete monitoring and reporting requirements for operational assets.
  • Support the maintenance of environmental management systems.
  • Support the maintenance and monitoring of the Kwinana wastewater management system.
  • Provide input into planning and implementation of environmental strategies that align with business objectives and growth projects.
  • Monitor and communicate changes to relevant legislation, regulations and codes of practice to assess business readiness and system capabilities and implement strategies to address.
  • Participate in risk assessments, provide support and guidance to site personnel, support permitting requirements.
  • Demonstrate positive safety culture through work conduct and active participation in safety activities.
  • Promote company values and engage with other team members to contribute to a positive environment.

 

About You 

You will be able to work autonomously with limited guidance while being a valuable team player. In addition, you will have:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science, Engineering, Sustainability, Carbon and Energy Management, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrable experience within the environmental field (consulting, construction, mining, heavy industry).
  • Be highly organised with advanced communication skills, strong attention to detail and the ability to work autonomously.
  • Value a strong team environment which is supportive of learning, ensures accountability and celebrates success.
  • Knowledge and experience of environmental and related legislation.
  • Previous experience working at operational facilities.
