About the role

WesCEF Minerals is seeking a motivated Exploration Geologist to join our growing exploration team based in Melbourne, Victoria. Reporting to the Senior Geologist, you'll play a key role in supporting and delivering exploration programs that contribute to WesCEF Exploration's long-term growth and development objectives.

This is an exciting opportunity for an emerging exploration professional who is passionate about discovering and developing mineral resources while working within a collaborative, safety-focused environment.

 

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Collect, analyse and interpret geological data to support exploration activities
  • Assist with the design and day-to-day execution of drilling and sampling programs to test exploration targets
  • Support project scheduling and budget management across exploration programs
  • Ensure exploration and rehabilitation activities meet environmental, regulatory and tenement compliance requirements
  • Contribute to the technical assessment of external projects and new exploration opportunities
  • Utilise 3D modelling and visualisation software to develop exploration targets and geological models

 

About you

To be successful you will have the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Geology, Science (Earth Sciences) or similar with current experience as Exploration/Graduate Exploration Geologist.
  • Experience with 2D and 3D mapping and modelling software, including QGIS, Micromine and Leapfrog.
  • Eligibility for, or membership of, a recognised professional body such as AIG or AusIMM.
  • Good stakeholder engagement and technical communication skills.
  • A demonstrated commitment to safety, integrity, collaboration, accountability and continuous improvement.
  • A flexible and adaptable approach to work effectively in a complex environment.
  • Role will require regular travel to respective operational sites in WA.
