The Opportunity

 

This is an exciting opportunity to join our Data & Digital team at a pivotal moment in WesCEF’s digital journey. Reporting to the Data & Digital Enablement Lead, the Digital (AI) Enablement Specialist, you will collaborate closely with business units, Cyber, and Governance teams as well as the broader Wesfarmers Group to develop embed a culture of responsible digital and AI use. you will play a central role in ensuring digital tools, including AI, are used across WesCEF safely, effectively, and in line with our standards. This spans both digital and AI enablement, as well as the governance frameworks that protect WesCEF while enabling value.

 

 

About You

 

You could come from a technology, data, digital, business, or consulting background. What we care about is that you bring practical experience, a passion for emerging technology, especially AI, and the instinct to balance innovation with sound judgement. These include:

 

  • Tertiary qualification in Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related discipline.
  • Experience in AI governance, digital enablement, technology risk, compliance, digital transformation, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with Agile and contemporary delivery methodologies.
  • Working knowledge of AI and digital platforms, including generative AI and Microsoft 365 or similar.
  • Strong commercial acumen and innovative mindset.
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication, and influencing skills.
  • Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
  • Collaborative, adaptable, and resilient, with the ability to thrive in a dynamic environment.
  • Demonstrated initiative, curiosity, and commitment to continuous learning.
  • Professional certifications in AI, governance, risk, compliance, cyber security, project management, or related disciplines will be highly regarded.
