WesCEF Chemical/Process Engineering Vacation Program - 2026/2027

What does our program offer

Applications are now open for our Vacation work opportunities to support Process / Chemical Engineering students in their penultimate year of study. This is a 12-week paid Vacation Program that will commence from late November 2026 and run through to mid-February 2027. 

Join a recognised as a safe, reliable and innovative industry leader. Through vacation work with WesCEF you will apply theory and grow technical expertise, collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders and build communication and leadership capability as part of your experience. 

Our goal is to be with you all the way, offering tailored training, support, guidance and a launchpad towards a great career.  

 

 

Your placement could be at one of our operational facilities in Kwinana:  

  • CSBP AAN (production of ammonia gas, ammonium nitrate solid and liquid as well as emulsion products) 

  • Kleenheat (gas production - LNG and LPG) 

  • Australian Gold Reagents (sodium cyanide production (liquid & solid) 

  • CSBP Fertilisers (A range of liquid and solid fertiliser and nutrient products)  

  • WesCEF Technical and Operational Services.   

 

 

Our program will provide you with an opportunity to: 

  • Develop highly sought after skills for future employment including, safety, commercial, communication, presentation and influencing skills. 

  • Implement and improve your technical skills and knowledge in a hands on engineering work environment. 

  • Work on meaningful and relevant projects that will have a direct impact on our business; you will also have the opportunity to present your project to our leadership team. 

  • Join our supportive engineering team and gain invaluable experience from recent graduates, engineers, operators and technical services teams. 

  • Work closely with your mentor who will guide and assist you during the program. 

  • Collaborate with and build lasting relationships with other WesCEF vacation engineering students.  

  • Some students may be offered a cadetship with WesCEF which provides part-time employment through the final year of university and is a potential pathway to our graduate program – please note that cadetships are not guaranteed. 

 

 

About You 

You will be an engineering student in your penultimate year who enjoys working with a broad range of internal stakeholders and thrives in an inclusive, collaborative and innovative environment with a strong safety culture. In addition, you will value the opportunity to build on your:

  • Attention to detail is essential including well-developed verbal and written communication skills. 

  • Innovative mindset and a willingness to challenge the status quo are welcome in our future focused businesses.
