About the role
Reporting to the Lead Project Engineer, for a program of brownfield, chemical projects, the project engineer is responsible for the delivery of small to medium tier capital projects that include project engineering, procurement and construction management, through design and execution phases, in accordance with the overall business objectives and safety standards.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Project manage assigned low to medium capital projects.
- Monitor and ensure financial management and reporting of project costs within allocated project budgets.
- Provide operational and technical support to internal customers across the business.
- Engage and maintain relationships across multi-discipline engineering teams.
- Manager customer requirements by providing timely response to requests and/or clarifying technical concerns.
- Ensures compliance and adherence with all legislative, regulatory, applicable AS/ISO standards and Company requirements.
- Perform other duties as required by the Lead Project Engineer.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will bring:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications in an Engineering discipline with a minimum of 5 years’ Project Engineering experience within a similar industry such as heavy industry, chemical and/or process plant environment.
- Hands-on experience executing small to medium brownfield projects through a full project cycle.
- Familiar with the Australian and International standards such as, AS3000, AS2067 and switchboard standards.
- Strong communications, customer service and time management skills.
- Good analytical and problem solving skills.
- Self-Driven, resilient and flexible in driving change to support project deliverables.
- Strong safety culture that is aligned to the role and overall business safety practices and standards.
