The Opportunity
We’re seeking a motivated and safety-focused Mechanical Fitter Engineering Tradesperson to join our maintenance team and help ensure the reliability and availability of our plant operations. You will be responsible for executing both planned and reactive maintenance activities to ensure optimal plant reliability and availability, while contributing to a strong safety culture and continuous improvement
Key responsibilities will include:
- Perform planned and reactive maintenance to support plant reliability.
- Execute maintenance plans, work to schedules and order parts to support execution of maintenance tasks.
- Collaborate with operations teams to fault-find and resolve equipment issues
- Conduct safety assessments including JSAs, work permits, and pre-starts.
- Record all maintenance activities using company systems (e.g. JDE).
- Suggest and implement cost-effective improvements.
About you
To be successful you will have the following:
- Mechanical Trade Certificate (Cert III or Cert IV) or similar
- Sound and comprehensive expertise on overhauling and repairing a wide range of equipment onsite.
- Experience working in a petrochemical plant.
- Demonstrated ability to identify, analyse, compare and act on information from a range of sources.
- Proven problem-solving and task improvement skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to safe work practices, including compliance with safety procedures, hazard identification, and participation in safety initiatives
