About the role
CSBP Fertilisers is seeking an experienced Account Manager / Senior Account Manager to manage, retain and grow a high‑value customer portfolio while identifying new business opportunities across the region. This is a key customer‑facing role focused on driving profitable growth, strengthening market share and enhancing CSBP’s reputation as a leader in fertiliser, plant nutrition and soil fertility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage, retain and grow an assigned customer portfolio to achieve fertiliser sales and margin targets
- Identify, source and convert new business and competitor opportunities
- Work closely with sales agents to set objectives, evaluate performance and deliver annual business plans
- Provide reliable, accurate advice on fertiliser, plant nutrition and soil fertility to build trusted customer relationships
- Deliver excellent customer service and maintain a strong focus on customer needs
- Provide accurate sales forecasting, reporting and insights on local market practices and opportunities
- Maintain strong working relationships with depot operators, carriers and contract spreaders
- Ensure compliance with all safety, environmental, company and legislative requirements
- Represent CSBP positively within the agricultural community and support local industry and Landcare initiatives
About You
- Tertiary qualifications in Agricultural Science or Agricultural Business (desirable), or equivalent experience
- Proven sales and negotiation experience, ideally within agribusiness or related industries
- Key account management experience
- Strong communication, relationship‑building and influencing skills
- Sound analytical, planning and forecasting capability
- A results‑driven mindset with strong time‑management skills
- Capacity to travel regularly to visit growers and customers and undertake field‑based activities as required
