The Opportunity

Working within the Ammonium Nitrate Despatch team, you will be responsible for safely operating despatch systems within a multi-disciplined team while providing excellent customer service and maintaining environmental standards. This role will ensure all routine operational work is completed to meet customer requirements which includes packaging, loading and despatching of solid ammonium nitrate. You’ll work closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to maintain high operational and safety standards.

 

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Operating a forklift and/or front end loader to move product to designated areas.
  • Managing plant breakdowns and identifying and implementing alternatives to avoid or minimise customer delays.
  • Keeping plant, equipment and operational history up to date via the appropriate computer-based management systems.
  • Maintain safety standards, report hazards, and participate in safety training.
  • Support continuous improvement and efficiency initiatives.

 

About you

  • High Risk Forklift Licence (LF) and Front End Loader Licence
  • Experience in packaging plants or bulk goods despatch.
  • Familiarity with handling dangerous/hazardous goods.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Understanding of safety procedures and legislative requirement

To be successful for this role you will be willing to work flexibly and open to working various shift rosters across teams and will show a keen interest in learning new skills and processes.
