The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Process Technician to join our Ammonia/Ammonium Nitrate team in Kwinana. This hands-on role is crucial to the day-to-day operation of the plant, involving equipment operation, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement in a safety-focused environment. You’ll be supported with training and development opportunities and play an integral role in meeting production targets and ensuring safe plant performance.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Operate and monitor plant processes to meet production targets.
- Conduct plant startups, shutdowns, and troubleshooting.
- Perform first-line maintenance and raise work orders.
- Collect and process samples; report deviations in plant performance.
- Respond to emergency situations in line with safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate records and daily log entries.
- Participate in safety meetings, HAZOPs, and training programs
About you
We’re looking for someone who brings:
- Experience with DCS systems and plant operations.
- Strong problem-solving and planning skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- The ability to work independently and adapt to changing priorities.
- A Certificate III / IV in Process Technologies (desirable but not essential)
You’ll also be flexible with shift work and eager to learn new skills and processes.
